La Bella was born from a simple dream — to bring the true flavors of southern Italy to Egypt. Our founder, Chef Marco Rossi, left Naples in 1998 carrying nothing but his grandmother's recipes and an unwavering passion for honest cooking.
Every ingredient we use is carefully selected. Our pasta is made fresh each morning. Our sauces simmer for hours. We believe that great food is never rushed.
In 1998, Chef Marco Rossi packed his grandmother's handwritten recipe book and boarded a flight to Cairo. He had one mission — to share the soul of Italian cooking with Egypt.
La Bella opened its doors in a small corner of Zamalek with just 12 tables and a wood-fired oven imported from Naples. Within a year, the waitlist for weekends stretched to a month. Word had spread — this was something different.
Today, La Bella remains a family affair. Marco's daughter, Sofia, manages the floor, while his son Luca oversees the kitchen. The recipes, however, remain exactly as Nonna Maria wrote them.
